Description: The Clermont County Park District operates 5 parks and two nature preserves totaling 330 acres. The highlight of the Park District's facilities is Chilo Lock #34 Park. Located on the site of an old U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lock and Dam. The Park District recently renovated the old powerhouse for the Lock and Dam into a visitor center and museum with hands-on, interactive displays emphasizing the history and importance of the Ohio River. The Park District's Naturalist staff presents educational programs to schools, scouts, youth groups, senior citizens, and the general public.
Hours of Operation: Chilo Visitor center is open weekends all year long. Weekday hours vary by season. Please call for details. Other parks open dawn to dusk all year.
